Virtual Communities Group

The Virtual Communities Group was setup in 2002 as a vehicle proposed to align, and integrate into RINCE, a variety of ongoing DCU research activities.  Specifically these activities originate from two sub-groups:
  • The Virtual Community Projects Laboratory: The purpose of this laboratory is to research and implement innovative technologies in eLearning and Virtual Community structures.
    (Visit the VCPL Website)

  • eAccessibility Lab: This lab was established in 1999 with seed funding from AIB. Its mission is to research and develop technologies to support maximum access to Information Society products and services by disabled users.
    (Visit the WAI Website)
Please visit either of these two sites for information on their ongoing research interests.
